AIUMC Transport

There are many ways to get to Santry. We have found the below information and hope it will help all players looking to come to the event.

Public Transport:

Santry Avenue is best served by leaving from O’Connell Street and the 41 and 41c which leave from Lower Abbey Street and 16 from O’Connell Street. These buses will drop you at the corner of Swords Road and Santry Avenue and the grounds are only a short walk the playing grounds. The cost of this trip is 2.60 euro each way.

Saturday morning:

A taxi from O’Connell Street to Santry Avenue will cost between 12 and 17 euro.

From the City Centre:

Take the N1 North along Dorset Street and Drumcondra Road onto the Swords road which joins onto the M1 Northbound. Take the first exit off the M1 back onto the Swords Road (R132). Continue along the Swords Road past the OMNI Shopping centre and take the next major left onto Santry Avenue (R104). The grounds are about 500m on the right-hand side.

From the M50:

Take Exit 4 southbound onto the Ballymun Road (R108). Go through the first set of traffic lights and at the next set turn left onto Santry Avenue (R104). The grounds are about 300m up on the left-hand side.

Car Pooling:

As part of our environmentally friendly approach to this event we would like to provide and encourage the option for teams and/or individual players to carpool.

A google doc spreadsheet has been set up where players can post up where they are leaving from and when and how many spaces they have in their car which others can sign-up to getting a lift with them. You can access it here. This is a new system which we hope will be in use for more tournaments in Ireland in the future.
