A little info about Ireland:
Ireland has a population of just under 4.6 million, is the third largest island in Europe (twentieth largest on Earth) and is best known for music, culture and welcoming people. There is tons to see and do across the country – from the rural beauty of the west coast to the bustling modern cities. The countryside is awash with history – castles, ancient relics, monuments – and full of engaging and relaxed people. We can’t cover every single thing to do in Ireland but we can certainly suggest a few things and point you in the right direction.
Things not to miss:
- The Cliffs of Moher – breathtaking, beautiful, blustery
- The Ring of Kerry – stunning scenery, lovely locals, tasty food
- Donegal – any/all of it and the locals accents are delicious
- Galway city – pints, revelry, delicious food, lots of fun
- The Burren – ancient monuments, bizarre rock formations
- Newgrange – prehistoric monuments on the River Boyne
- The Giant’s Causeway – oddly regular basalt steps made naturally, there’s a cool wooden bridge up there too
