During your stay with us for the Golden Keg, there will be three times you are likely to need transport. They are:

1. From the Airport to the Hostel

2. From the Hostel to the Pitches

3. From the Pitches to the Airport

1. Airport to Hostel

There is a taxi rank outside the airport, approx €20 (€4 – €5 per person)

The Aircoach (the big blue bus) departs from Dublin Airport ever 10 – 15 mins. The cost is € 6 each way / € 11 return from Dublin Airport to O’Connell Street. Players will then need to get the Luas (train) from Abbey Street (a 5 min walk from O’Connell Street). Take the Luas west to Smithfield, cost is €1.70 each way, the hostel is just up the road from the Smithfield luas stop.

€ 6 one way flat fee from Dublin Airport to Ushers Quay. Generator is approximately a 7 min walk from Ushers Quay.

€ 3.05 from Airport to O’Connell Street, Luas (train) from Abbey Street to Smithfield €1.70 each way.

There is a large selection of car rentals available from Dublin Airport. There will be limited parking available at the Generator hostel and there will be parking available at St. Declans School, beside the pitches during the competition.

2. Getting to the Pitches

The walk from Generator to the pitches takes approx 40 mins. The GK volunteers / GK directions will be placed throughout the walk to make sure players don’t get lost.

A taxi from Generator to the pitches will cost approx €10.

The number 37, 39, 39a and 70 Dublin buses which depart at Blachall place, a 5 minute walk from the hostel, will take you directly to the pitches. Ask to get off at the Navan Road / Nephin Road stop.  The cost of the bus will be € 2.35 each way (please have the correct change ready as Dublin Buses don’t give out change)

NB – on Sunday morning the tournament will provide private coaches to get teams to their first game on time as the public bus service will not have started early enough to accommodate us. These buses will leave from the hostel at 7:30am and 8:00am to allow players to get to their games on time.
